  • 7+ years of SAP BASIS experience with a proven track record of supporting SAP system builds and refreshes.
  • 3+ years of experience in a global SAP technical delivery program/project leadership role.


  • Manage and improve SAP technical delivery processes.
  • Analyze, plan, and develop requirements and standards for scheduled projects.
  • Create end-to-end technical project plans for technical activities such as refreshes, upgrades, and patching in the overall landscape.
  • Partner with technical teams to attend to technology requirements in the project, including new technical tool implementations and environment/landscape activities like builds and refreshes.
  • Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring that all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones.
  • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment on any impactful activity in the technology space.
  • Manage technology maintenance windows, seeking flawless execution and communicating status properly to stakeholders.

Qualifications for Technical Project Manager:

  • Master’s degree in Project Management or related technical field required.
  • 5+ years of experience working in global SAP implementation projects as Technical PM or Project Lead.
  • 3+ years of experience as Basis Admin.
  • Professional Project Management Certification from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
  • Demonstrated understanding of SAP Architecture and Components, comprehending their importance to the business.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing rising talent in the technology department.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
  • Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
