  • Work closely with the different technology teams (i.e., Network, Cloud, Security, Applications, etc.) to architect, design, and implement business network requirements for Cloud computing.
  • Analyze business requirements, work with requestors and implement firewall rules and connectivity requirements accordingly.
  • Maintain an overview of the Network topology and assist with necessary connectivity requirements.
  • Responsible for all aspects of network engineering policies and operations, including network programmability (Python, scripting, and RESTful API) and orchestration.
  • Posses advanced professional skill sets across multiple disciplines, including IPS, Firewall, Route, Switch, SD-WAN, Wireless, VoIP.
  • Develop and implement network policies to optimize network performance across corporate and hotel locations.
  • Develop operating metrics for all elements of the corporate environment and actively manage network vendor and OEM performance.
  • Ability to advise and contribute to the creation of technical specifications and product design
  • Work independently without significant oversite to follow requirements and develop solutions
  • Familiarity with access control models and network security, specifically Cisco, Palo Alto & AWS Security.
  • Experience with cloud services (ideally AWS) – specific knowledge of setting up geographically redundant services in the cloud.
  • Expert understanding of Networking and core Internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and distributed networks).
  • Experience managing Infrastructure as code environments in AWS, including CloudFormation, VPC's, the AWS CLI, Cisco CDO, and Palo Alto Panorama.
  • Experience managing, monitoring, and supporting cloud and network security devices/services.
  • Scripting experience – Bash/JSON/Powershell, etc.
  • Experience with security concepts around Security group management.
  • Expertise with monitoring and alerting platforms to create and adjust necessary monitoring scripts or services.
  • Have a solid technical background in networking technologies, including VPN, IPSec, BGP, MPLS, TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and Load Balancing
  • Have a fundamental understanding of how to implement cloud-based networks, firewalls, and proxy servers
  • LAN, WAN & Network security industry-related experience as a Network Engineer or Network Security Engineer
