The Learning Developer develops learning solutions, Utilizes Instructional design methodologies, working knowledge of development tools, and trends in learning production, technology, and visual communication to determine the best solution to meet the Customer's goals. Acts as an effective and collaborative Team Member and works efficiently to complete projects on-time and on-budget.

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

  • Develops effective and engaging learning content using industry-leading development tools
  • Accurately assesses and analyzes problems and recommends effective and sustainable solutions
  • Works closely with subject matter experts to gather learning requirements and ensure accuracy of content
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining learning material for a given Customer group, which can include online learning, classroom curriculum, job aids, videos, graphics and performance support tools
  • Develops in an agile environment, conducting rapid analysis, producing prototypes and hosting iterative content reviews
  • Balances multiple projects at a time meeting milestones and target timelines
  • Ensures quality and accuracy of products

  • Possesses knowledge of current training methodologies and learning technology and works to incorporate best practices

  • Acts as a self-starter and is able to work with a limited supervision to accomplish assignments and projects

  • Strongly preferred: Knowledge of learning and development applications and learning management systems: Articulate360, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

EXPERIENCE

  • Required: Minimum 2 years of training production, technical writing experience, multimedia development, web design, video production or proven instructional design experience
  • Preferred: Experience in leadership and employee development
  • Preferred: Experience focused in graphics and writing
  • Preferred: Experience in online development

EDUCATION

  • Required: High School diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Associate degree or equivalent work experience in higher education, communication, multimedia, technical writing, web design or video production
