The Analytics Design & Tagging Governance Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining enterprise digital analytics data governance that ensures good data quality, minimizes data interruptions and breakages, and is consistently implemented across multiple platforms. This person must enjoy working with product analytics teams and digital analytics implementation teams to ensure robust digital data governance.

The Analytics Design & Tagging Governance Manager will review product analytics business requirements to ensure they meet digital data governance requirements and will perform UAT to verify measurement meets product analytics requirements. This person will create and maintain governance documentation that is continuously updated with the most relevant information for stakeholder reference and will regularly assess and evolve the governance approach to handle future analytics implementations needs.

More specifically, you will:

  • Roll out an enterprise-wide digital analytics data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of digital analytics data quality by establishing implementation policies and standards, processes, creating templates and documents.
  • In collaboration with the IT QE Team, roll out an automated, analytics tracking framework to detect/alert/prevent analytics breakages
  • Define roles and responsibilities related to digital analytics data governance including product analytics, stakeholders, and technology teams, ensure clear accountability for stewardship of web analytics data governance.
  • Serve as a liaison between Business and Technology teams to ensure that implementation process is clearly defined, communicated, and well-understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
  • Own and leverage internal data governance tools to set alerts and monitoring tasks to ensure data is collected accurately across platforms.
  • Improve efficiency and accuracy for end-to-end Adobe Analytics implementation process to adopt agile production environment.
  • Communicate digital analytics implementation best practices across teams and train team members to follow implementation guidelines.
  • Coordinate governance activities across product analytics, analytics technology, and development teams to ensure consistent approach to digital measurement.

What are we looking for?
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree; STEM fields preferred
  • Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in web analytics field including reporting and end-to-end implementation.
  • Understanding of how tag management tools work (Adobe Launch preferred)
  • Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to web analytics implementation.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics data architecture such as processing rules, marketing channels, naming conventions etc.
  • Competence with digital analytics debugger tools such as built-in browser developer tools, Omnibug, Charles Proxy etc.

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Experience validating mobile app implementations using Charles or Fiddler or other packet analyzers
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
